Successful Fire-Retardant Trials: Xpyro’s PreFireX Stops Flames at CIHEAM (MAICh)

Xpyro Ltd has as a strategy to develop international collaborations. Xpyro tested PreFireX in CIHEAM (MAICh). Mr. George Kazakis was the coordinator of the tests which were carried out in the aerodynamic tunnel simulator of forest fires. PreFireX was applied on spread layer of dead pine needles. The testing processes started one hour and 24 hours after the PreFireX treatment.

The outcome of the tests showed that PreFireX offers a strong fire retarding capacity when, both one hour and 24 hours after the PreFireX application on the needles, by stopping the fire in both cases.

Harri Keskinen, Xpyro CEO, and Nikolaos Papamatthaiakis, R&D Specialist, had the chance to visit CIHEAM Chania premises in Crete and meet Mr. George Kazakis. It was such a nice opportunity to see the facilities where the tests are taking place and attend part of the tests.
